French
Poker Player Finds Pot Of Gold At
Irish Open
Frederic
Levy, a 35-year-old
Poker
player from Saumur, France,
finished in 21st place out of
nearly 700 players at the
prestigious Irish Open poker
tournament in Dublin, Ireland.
Frederic has been playing for
less than two years on Titan
Poker, the largest poker room on
the iPoker Network. He managed to
walk away 18,000 Euros richer
from his first live tournament
experience.
Titan
Poker sent 17 European poker
players as well as one Canadian
to the 2008 Irish Open. Frederic
exceeded other participants'
performances by his hefty
success. However, things did not
look so optimistic for Frederic
at the beginning of his play. He
began his second day with only
7,200 chips. "I was sure I
wouldn't be there long, but after
a few good hands, where I was
able to triple up, I had 55,000
chips, and by the end of the day
82,000!"
Frederic
continued to skillfully advance,
and eventually found himself
seated at the TV table, which
broadcasts this elite tournament.
This is where Frederic
experienced his most glorious
victory when he turned a pair of
Fours into a Flush to beat his
opponent's pair of Jacks. Being
televised did not cause Frederic
to become nervous, and he
admitted that this experience was
actually "fun."
After
realizing such a wonderful
victory in Dublin, Frederic is
looking forward to achieving an
even bigger poker dream. "Playing
at the World Series of Poker in
Las Vegas would be a dream come
true because I have never been
there," Levy admitted.
