Absolute
Poker Pays $10 Million Bad Beat
Jackpots
Absolute
Poker announced that its players
have profited from over $10
million in Bad Beat Jackpot
payouts since the game was first
introduced in June of last
year.
"It's
been just over nine months since
we first brought the Bad Beat
Jackpot game to US players,"
stated David Clainer, Senior Vice
President for Absolute Poker.
"We're paying out an average of
over $1 million a month and Texas
Hold'em fans are flocking to our
tables in droves to profit from
their good fortune."
The
$10 million figure takes into
account the money passed onto
players after the popping of each
Bad Beat Jackpot. Money won
through regular table play at Bad
Beat Jackpot tables is not
included in the
statistic.
Absolute
Poker introduced Bad Beat Jackpot
to its lineup of Online
Poker
games on June 22nd, 2007. Since
then, Absolute Poker has become
one of the most popular
destinations for players looking
to grab a piece of the
multi-million dollar Bad Beat
Jackpot pie.
On
August 29th, 2007, online poker
history was made when the
biggest-ever Bad Beat Jackpot was
won at Absolute Poker. The
$821,670.69 jackpot handily
shattered all industry records,
including the largest Bad Beat
Jackpot record of $739,621
previously held by Party
Poker.
Bad
Beat Jackpot works just like
regular online Texas Hold'em
poker but with an added twist.
When seated at a Bad Beat Jackpot
table, if a player loses a Texas
Hold'em hand holding four 8s or
anything better, they'll win a
large piece of the Bad Beat
Jackpot.
